I always had lots and lots of friends and mostly guy friends. But I had never been in a ‘romantic relationship’ with any guy. While I never missed being in such a relationship, because I was having too fun with my friends and family and was either busy studying or following my other passions, I definitely secretly wished to fall in love and for a long term relationship with the potential of being converted into a marriage.

Years passed, from school I went to college then moved on to pursue my postgraduate education and till the last day of my post-grad college, nothing happened! But I was happy since I had found myself a dream job and was excited for the new beginning of my life. Then this happened:

Our final exams were over and most students from the campus hostel had already departed. I, along with some of my friends had planned to stay on for a few more days in the hostel so that we could hang out some more. I suddenly received a phone call from a guy in my class and was asked to meet him outside my hostel. I was confused. Why would he suddenly call me like that!? On meeting, he wished me luck and told me that he would miss me. While that was very cute but totally unexpected, I came back to my hostel room with the thought of why would he miss me!?

We then connected on “gtalk” (this was year ’09 and we had no whatsapp!). We started chatting online and soon over the phone. Not later than a month, he proposed to me and life has been no less than a blessing since that day for me.

We have now been married for 4 years and I have never been happier in life. What totally amazes me is the fact that he was always there, right in front of me, in my class! I never got the slightest hint that he could be ‘that guy’! I always thought highly of him as he was a good student, he looked sincere and decent and also very good looking. With his looks and intelligence, he could be the dream boyfriend or husband for any girl. But universe chose him for me, this has to be some magic!

We have been together for 7 years now including 4 years of marriage and the way our relationship has matured and flourished over these years is phenomenal. Life has been a miracle since and my husband is one blessing in my life which I would never trade for anything else. His love completes my life.

I know it is my imagination and positivity that attracted him into my life and that is “The Secret”.
