One morning, upon arriving at the office, I could not find my access card even though I was certain it was in my bag where I had placed it the day before.

I checked everywhere, at home and in the car, but alas, it was nowhere to be found. I went a few days, reluctant to get a replacement as it would cost quite a bit. My colleague told me to just hold on for a while and not have it replaced immediately. She said it would show up somewhere. I recalled I had been at a restaurant, and if I had dropped it, it would have been there. I tried calling them, but they did not pick up.

I went away on a holiday, during which I just let go and imagined myself getting the card back, holding it in my hands, and kissing it. After which I told myself that if I had to pay to replace it, then so be it. When I got back from my trip, I decided I would call the restaurant as a last ditch attempt. Lo and behold, the lady at the restaurant said they did find the card, and they had held on to it for a week without discarding it. What were the chances?!
