First time I read The Secret was a few years ago and of course, like many people I got this feeling that I can change my life and everything is possible. I was practicing positive thinking every day and I was waiting for something big to happen. But nothing did happen so I just gave up..

During these years a lot of bad things happened to my life. I fell into deep depression, had suicide thoughts almost everyday. I tried to think positive again but I guess I put too much energy and pressure that something MUST happen very soon if not my life is worthless. I knew that I had to do something different because it was almost painful to live each day without purpose. I didn’t have a job for almost a year and although I was in my mid-twenties, my parents still supported me. I applied for various positions but I guess deep in my mind I didn’t want to work just to earn money.

So read a lot of stories on this website to motivate and inspire me, I have read The Secret a couple of times, watched the movie almost everyday, and looked for other books which can help me to understand The Secret more deeply.

I asked myself what I REALLY want in my life, I gave it a really long thought with lots of questions. As a young girl, I really wanted to be a model. When I grew up I had all the desire but I was too shy to give it a try. But all this time I was still fascinated by the fashion world and models, and it may seem shallow to many that was what I really wanted to do.

So I decided to finally send my pictures to an agency. Of course there were a lot of disadvantages, like my age and lack of experience. But I really believed that I could make it and it would help me to earn money and finally help my parents and family, and also overcome my shyness, which was big problem in every day life for me. It would be something which I would enjoy to the fullness. So learning from the previous experience, I didn’t think too much of it, that it HAS to happen, I just knew deep down that I will receive the call. I was meditating and praying to find peace to pass each day without worrying about small and big things.

4 days later I got an email saying that I was invited to the interview and long story short, I got signed and I am finally working! I may never be super famous or extremely rich, but I do what I love to do, I can pay back all the money my parents gave me and treat them with some surprises. I wake up each morning with a smile on my face because I never know what will happen, what assignment I will get. I have energy to do so many things. I am happy and I wanna share it with others so I applied for some voluntary work.

My advise is to really truly ask yourself what you want, ask for it, believe it, forget about it and receive it 🙂
