I had been trying to get pregnant for over a year. I have an almost 3 year old and I was starting to feel discouraged about conceiving our second child while I was up against time. After celebrating my 39th birthday in October of 2023, that was when the time felt like it was really clicking away.

I had a very traumatic delivery of my daughter in March of 2020. It was a near death experience where my placenta ruptured from an accidental fall while I had placenta previa and I was rushed to the hospital for a stat c-section. It is a true blessing that we both are here today. I then lost a friend during her childbirth in January 2022, which was a huge trigger for me. I believe my body energetically was protecting itself from conceiving again because I had so much trauma and fear. I did womb reiki, 2 types of fertility massage, bought carnelian and moonstone crystals that I placed on my sacral chakra while meditating, I did the Whole30 in January 2024, and I quit drinking alcohol.

I also decided to listen to The Secret on Audible in January 2024 and I created a hand written vision board that I placed on my bathroom mirror that said, “I am fertile, I am healthy, I will conceive naturally. Rudi (my husband) is fertile. Rudi is healthy. We will conceive naturally.”

I also set a profile picture of myself pregnant on my phone. Every time I saw the photo, I smiled and thought, “Thank you, Universe. I am pregnant and so excited.” After listening to The Secret, I shifted from being full of anxiety and wanting it so bad that I think I was blocking myself energetically from having it, to believing that it was mine, and felt thankful and truly full of gratitude. It was like going from a feeling of fight or flight to complete calm.

Right as we were about to hit the deadline to fill out our paperwork for our $375 fertility consultation, which was due on March 4, 2024, I got a positive pregnancy test on February 28th, 2024. It was really such Divine timing. I am so very grateful. I am beyond blessed and grateful for what The Secret taught me, and I can’t wait to see what else I can attract into my life.
