I have had The Secret book since 2008. I did not get around to reading it until 2010 and, at that time, I still did not use it.

December of 2012 I picked up The Power in an airport bookstore for a long plane ride. That was a life changing day for me. I immediately chose to live my life full of gratitude and optimism because I was tired of being miserable. Each day, I spent more time focused on positive thoughts and what I wanted to do to be happy. The hardest part of my life was my job. It was in a factory with bad working conditions. I could go on and on about how much I hated this job but it is just unnecessary negative talk, so I won’t. Anyways I was completely miserable there. Many days I cried before going to work because I was so unhappy. The job paid very well though and I had settled for it because I don’t have a degree and figured it was the best I could get.

After reading The Power, I started to change my attitude for my job and began being grateful. I also started to bid to first shift positions and thank the universe for my new job every night. Bids are how you move to a different shift at this company. I really wanted to go to first shift. I wasn’t having much luck getting any bids though.

I am currently reading The Magic and took some time to make a list of what I wanted out of life. I wrote a pretty detailed description of my “Dream Job”.

Well last week I sent a resume to an company and was called the very next morning for an interview. I was told 4 days later that I had the job and I start on Monday!!!

This job matches every single thing I listed on my list that I wanted out of a job! I am now a firm believer in the LOA. I can not wait to see what other dreams will come true for me.
