I met my boyfriend when he was in a relationship with someone else. For so long, I never thought a relationship was possible because he was with her for 4 years. I then watched The Secret and read the books and it all changed from there. Over the course of the past year, we got closer and him and his ex girlfriend broke up. Over summer, he was still on-off with her so I told him I was planning to move on with my life. He ended it properly and we started to take things slow at first. However, we realized we both weren’t ready for this step in our relationship and things fell apart. I focused on what I loved about him and thanked the universe for having him come into my life. The next day, we had a huge argument where I demanded I required space from him.

The space helped me gain independence and not revolve my full life around him and to focus and love myself before loving anyone else. A few weeks later, we tried again and now we’re better than ever. He’s my boyfriend and my first love. It was a tough journey but we got there in the end all because of my faith and trust in the universe.
