Feel The Feeling As If.

First and foremost I would like to thank Ms. Rhonda Byrne for creating these awesome and incredible books, audios and movie that has changed so many lives!
Now I grew up believing that I must watch what I say because it will possibly come true so I was kind of careful of what I would say, but I was not aware of the power of feelings.
My desire was to play college division 1A football and to play for the Virginia Tech Hokies. I grew up watching the team play and my high school girlfriend’s older sister attended there and would give me tickets whenever I would ask. After going to one of the games, I became obsessed with the school and their football program. I would watch videos and I saw myself playing on their field. I would play the NCAA football video game and imagine it was me on the field.
The moment that I will never forget was my junior year during the off season. I was very upset because I shared my dream to a track teammate earlier that day and he told me that it was impossible and I would never play football in college. I went to the local football field by myself and I ran and worked out until the point where I was exhausted.
I rested for about 15 minutes, and breathing heavy I went to the center of the field on the 50 yard line, and stood up and closed my eyes. I began to imagine being on the Virginia Tech football field 50 yard line with 70,000 screaming fans. I could see everyone in my family in the crowd looking so proud, and I raised my arms and just felt as if I was playing and it felt amazing.
Fast forward 2 years, I had a great senior year but guess what?!! Virginia Tech didn’t offer me a scholarship, matter of fact no teams did. I stayed determined that I would be on that field, though. My football coach told me of a military prep school that cost more money than I had, but I could go there and play on the team and possibly get recruited by colleges.
So I decided I would do that, and boy was it very tough. Military school was harder than I thought! My high school girlfriend actually went to Virginia Tech and became a cheerleader and I heard from a friend that she was now dating a football player there. She left me when I left for this prep school and it hurt tremendously, but I used it for motivation. Looking back on that now after reading The Magic, I was not grateful for her so I lost her.
I still did not get recruited by Virginia Tech and the team that showed me interest was University of North Carolina but they stopped calling. I was so depressed at this point and thought of giving up. For some reason I remembered that great feeling 3 years prior on the field when I imagined playing on Vtech’s football field and I called Ohio University’s football coach myself and told him that I could play and if he took a chance on me, he would be glad that he did.
He did just that, and brought me in on a visit. I didn’t know anything about this school besides that it was in Ohio and it was a Division 1A football school. On the visit the coach saw my film and really liked it and offered me the scholarship. I was so happy and proud that I finally accomplished a goal. He then said “Oh yeah, you will be happy to go home during the season, too”. I then said “What do you mean?”. He said “You do know that we play Virginia Tech two times out of your 4 years, right?”! My jaw dropped and I realized that I was so desperate to get a scholarship, I didn’t even look at my new school’s schedule for the year.
We played Virginia Tech at the third game at Virginia Tech, guess who stood on the 50 yard line and saw his family in the stands and had a moment in the game where I made a big play?!!!
This was before watching the Secret!
I wish I would have known this back then. I used the power without even knowing it. I am so grateful for knowing what I know now. I have countless stories now, and I will continue to use this new knowledge thanks to The Secret’s teaching!! Thank you!
