First let me start by saying that everyone should do exactly as the books and video instruct you to do.

I was introduced to this book through my employer. At every company meeting the first of the month he would always tell all the staff to read this book or watch the movie. A few months I started researching about The Secret, just to see what my boss was speaking of when it came to our jobs and how to succeed. After my research, I was hooked. I watched the movie and read the website of the many stories daily of how this worked for others.

Jan 14, 2013 I was released from my job. My boyfriend worked out of town and wouldn’t receive a check for weeks. My mother was recently homeless and was staying with friends until I could afford a plane ticket to bring her to Arizona where I live. The rent was only half paid and the late fees were piling up every day and I had just enough money for electricity for a week. I told my boyfriend that I had been reading The Secret and everything would be OK! Jan 16th I wrote a check out to myself as described in The Secret, I read and studied non stop. I did everything and imagined having my mother here and helping her get on her feet. I had promised my mother I would get her here by the 23rd of Jan. I never let her know I was jobless, no money and no way to get her here. On the 23rd of Jan. I called my mother, told her I was still going get her out of there by that Monday. I was working on a couple of things. I never let my mind or mother think that this wasn’t going to happen by the weekend. Yet I still didn’t have the money or a clue as to how I was going to do this but I was!

On Jan 24th I went to the Casino with a friend. I only had $80 PERIOD. I acted as if everything was going to be OK, as we arrived to the Casino the first machine I stopped at I put 20 of the 80 dollars in the slot machine and got a beverage. I pressed the button on the machine twice and the bonus game played, the machine lit up and the screen flashed I won the Jackpot $1,533. This hadn’t really sunk in yet, so the casino gave me my money.

Wait I’m not done. I go sit at another machine. I put 20 in and after 3 pushes the machine goes off. This time my screen reads I won the Jackpot for $1,844. I am so excited but still calm.

Wait I’m not done. I go to a couple of others no luck, I only would spend 20 dollars. So the 4th machine I get to I sit and press the button a couple of times and the machine goes off and I won another Jackpot for $517.

That was it! I was spooked and ready to leave. I thought the Casino would think I was doing something wrong to their machines. I left and went home with $3,996, booked my moms flight the next day, paid the rent in full and the next month’s rent early. I was also able to buy my mom clothes and shoes send my boyfriend a few dollars to help him until he got paid, sent my brother some money and even got myself a few items.

It is March and my mom has a new job and is looking for a new place. Oh, and before I forget, I have started a Non-Profit for the Homeless. I have always wanted to start my own business and now I have the time and can do just that. All of you will hear about me soon and will be talking about this story and me FOREVER!!
