Family Games

Atlanta, GAI am a stepmother of one and a future attorney.
Every so often me and my family play games.
My son and husband are super competitive. I love spending time with them but their natural competitive nature sometimes sours the gaming experience.
This past Saturday we were playing Monopoly. I am often the loser and the subject of playful taunting. However, I visualized winning the game and teaching both my son and husband how not to be sore winners or losers.
The first round I wanted to get the properties that would be landed on the most. Lo and behold, I did!
Every time I was low on money and I needed more money I either landed on the Free Space or passed Go.
My husband wanted me to land on property that he had houses on so I could be bankrupt soon.
The power of the law of attraction amazes me still. As I went around the board each time, I avoided those properties. It frustrated him. I relished in the pleasure of finally defeating him.
It was something as small as winning a game of monopoly but I can honestly say that my thoughts helped me win and teach them a lesson.
