I hadn’t manifested anything in a while, even though I had been practicing gratitude daily. I decided to have fun with it and see what I could conjure up. I remembered reading in The Secret to start small and try and manifest a cup of coffee. I wanted to try something along those lines. First, I thought, “Wow, I really want a cup of coffee!” But I wanted to try something original.

First, I thought of a butterfly because I had seen a pretty one at the lakefront. But I quickly put that out of my mind. So I went on a walk and decided I wanted to see a hawk. I pictured a hawk gracefully circling above me. I kept thinking about that hawk when what I really should have done was wish for it, and then I forgot about it.

It was then that I passed a house with a giant wooden butterfly displayed on their fence because I let it go of course!

I saw some roses and wished they were close enough to photograph. Oh well, I didn’t want to trespass, so I turned the corner and there were more roses that were even more beautiful and I could easily take a picture of from the public sidewalk.

I thought and thought about that hawk, then decided it was useless. I changed my thinking and wanted to see something so pink it was undeniable that it was pink.

I went for a ride with my boyfriend and sure enough, someone was posing for pictures in front of a very pink building. I then went home and opened my Facebook and the first thing I saw on my hometown’s group page was a very vivid picture of a hawk eating a squirrel! Not the graceful hawk soaring in the clouds that I imagined. That was quite a surprise!

Then when I went to work the next day, what was on my desk? Coffee! We just got a new coffee machine and my co-worker decided to gift me with some coffee pods.

Wish for it and let it go to the Universe! You will be surprised.
