I’ve known about The Secret since I was 12 when my mother gave me the book. I’ve applied its principles throughout my life, though there were times it didn’t seem to work, especially when I doubted myself.

This year was one of my toughest. I was unhappy at work, kept failing my exams, and missed a promotion. Feeling everything was falling apart, I decided to make a change and apply to a company known for its better work culture and work-life balance, and I only applied there.

Months before applying, I shared my plan with everyone and spoke as if I already had the job. I believed in it completely, mapping out each step, including my application, resignation, and even a free month off to spend with family before starting. Some people doubted me, asking me how I could be so sure that I would get that job, but I didn’t let that deter me.

In the end, it worked out even better than I’d imagined! I was offered a higher position, a much better package than if I’d stayed in my current company, and I could start on the exact date I’d planned. Since I secured the job earlier, I even got to resign sooner.
