When I was 13 I had social anxiety. I was extremely insecure about myself. I did not like how I looked, or how I behaved. I did not like anything, and I saw myself in a terrible way. At school, it was just as terrible when I had to present a project. It was very difficult for me with my anxiety and the other children told me I was antisocial and some were even afraid to talk to me. The teachers did not even realize when I was not at school. Just recently, a friend was telling me how I used to bring tortilla chips to school and he wanted to ask me for some. However, he was embarrassed because a friend of his had told him that he asked me once for chips and I bit him! Obviously, I did not do that! Logically, I did not like being that way and especially feeling like that. I wanted to change and I knew that I would succeed somehow, even though I was in such a terrible state.

So I started doing research online and on YouTube. I found out what the law of attraction was and I found out about The Secret although I did not really understand what it was or how it worked exactly. I watched The Secret movie and somewhat understood its message but my negative feelings were too strong and I gave up.

However, about a 1 month or 2 later when I went to the market, I found a stall with books and there was the book version of The Secret. I was literally shocked! I took it as a great sign and a great gift from the Universe, so I bought it. After that, I read The Secret with the greatest pleasure and passion and I was simply fascinated by everything in the book. This experience opened up a passion for me about everything related to the law of attraction and what it means. I started reading more and more books from The Secret and more and more books about the law of attraction, success, and even psychology and the subconscious mind. I started to get out of that deep state of negativity and slowly the school year ended.

Here in Romania, the summer vacation is 3 months long and in these 3 months, I had a drastic change in everything in myself and in my life. After I started school again, everyone was shocked at my new behavior. People were telling me how I had the biggest glow about me and I made so many friends. I no longer had problems with presentations or teachers, and students were shocked at my sudden change in attitude. Teachers were always praising me for my writing and for my way of thinking, saying I had a profound and beautiful mind. Besides this mental glow, I had a very big physical change and glow! Sometimes my friends show me pictures of me from last school year and compare them with pictures of me from now. They express how shocked they are saying they don’t understand how I did it and they often ask me, what is your secret? I actually changed so much that I don’t look the same and I get many compliments about my beauty. It makes me happy as my old self never got them, but of course, I don’t only love myself because of these compliments, I genuinely love being myself in all aspects.

I had a very big evolution in my relationships, especially with my mother, whom I argued with every day last year. I owe this change to The Secret and the book Hero. While my passion for this subject was growing more and more, I tried to introduce it to my parents, who had a quite difficult life. Just as an example, I have a sister with autism and it was never easy for any of us. My mother’s mother had died a few months before I discovered The Secret, and they were struggling financially.

At first, they didn’t take me seriously. Then I bought the book, “Hero”, and that got my mother’s attention because of the description. So she read it, and after that, she read The Magic. She then started to practice gratitude and she started to read all my books from The Secret series and many other books. That was how I became best friends with my mom for the first time! I started to explain and talk about the law of attraction with her. Then for the first time, I started to talk about personal things with her, and today we are inseparable. My mother has become the most positive and grateful person I know and the best friend I have! It was not at all like that before The Secret.

I just want to cry writing this. I am deeply grateful for everything, especially for the Universe with which I have a beautiful connection and which drastically changed my life. Also, I am so grateful to Rhonda Byrne, my and my mother’s favorite author. If you ever see this, Rhonda, I want to thank you deeply. I am also grateful that I have the opportunity to know about these things at this age and that I am passionate about these subjects. Because if I am like this now, I can’t wait to see how I will be in the future. I learned that really everything happens for a reason. Now when I look back, all my traumatic memories, even the most terrible ones, brought me to where I am. The biggest example is the time when I was going through so much suffering and self-doubt. That came from big traumas that led me to find The Secret Book which opened the way for me to a very beautiful passion for reading, leading me to the most beautiful mentality possible.
