Everything Happens For A Reason.

Sydney, AustraliaA strong, grateful, happy woman!
Thank you to God (universe) who has helped me understand how “Everything happens for a reason!”.
I will try and keep my experience short.
I was in a relationship with a special someone for three and a half years, we were madly in love, however due to his depression, he broke up with me.
Yes I was upset but it is not easy to be with someone who claims they never fell in love with you. I know that was his negative emotions speaking but as hard as it was, I had to let the situation go. I tried to visualize him coming back to me and even went to a psychic who said we will be together. This gave me enormous hope until the day my friends saw him with a new girl.
It did hurt me to hear that, however I do believe that was a nudge from the universe to open my mind and heart for new, better possibilities. I didn’t date or speak to any guy for a year as I needed my time to have a relationship with myself which is what I needed.
This is where my story twists. The other week my friend and I thought it would be funny to download an online dating app. I have always been old fashioned and preferred to meet someone in person but whatever, I tried it anyway.
To my surprise I saw this one person who caught my eye. We eventually exchanged numbers and now we cannot stop talking. We are very comfortable with each other and I feel like I am 100% myself with him. We are just friends but I am so happy with just that. This person has made me forget about my ex. The funny thing is, he went through the exact same thing with his ex as well. This brought us closer together.
The moral of my story is, even though you may still love someone and think you can’t live without them, the truth is you really can! Don’t ever think you will never meet someone better than your ex because I can guarantee, you will!! It’s hard when you haven’t met that person yet, but when you do, you won’t think twice about your ex.
God brings us the people who are the best for us. He doesn’t want to bring you people who aren’t going to better you as a person.
Stay strong, God has his plans for you! xo
