A few years back me and my long term partner and I split leaving me to be the primary carer for our daughter. After a year he relocated and things became increasingly difficult. I felt trapped, I have always been extremely ambitious but found that I was now limited in terms of what I could work wise do due to childcare restrictions etc. Feeling extremely frustrated, depression started to kick in and I felt as if I would never be able to get out of the rut that I was in.

I also dreamt about relocating and I was constantly reading books on how to change my career, build a business and generally anything I could get my hands on relating to development. I was searching for the key, some motivation and a way to break free.

A friend told me about The Secret, I read it and was instantly inspired. However I wasn’t practising it and not much was changing.

A year on…….

I got a new job and during a conversation with my new boss The Secret came up. I had a light bulb moment and that night went home and re read the book. I signed up to The Secret scrolls and started sharing the emails with colleagues at work.

Two years on I read The Power WOW!!!.

It has taken me 3 years to really grasp the concept and put it in to practise but it’s working. I visualise, I confess and I get what I want.

I have just landed my dream job in West Africa, the land of opportunity and this is just the beginning. I am working on a franchise deal with a leading cosmetics provider and am currently consulting on the launch of a new make up line, all in my dream destination WEST AFRICA. Each one of these three things were dreams that I turned into goals!!!

My daughter will once again have her mum and dad around and I can provide her with a better quality of life.
