I hope my story inspires others to believe! I got into Georgetown University, a school I never thought I could get into. That was back in April and I was so happy and estactic to get accepted into this school. However, as the months went by, a couple financial issues occured with me and my parents. I grew negative about my outlook on the school and then things got worse.

I read The Secret and The Power and realized I had to feel good about the school for things to change. I started to notice subtle changes in the atmosphere with the finances. Everyday I would repeat to myself I am receiving financial aid from Georgetown. As my hopes went up I woke up one morning and found out Georgetown wasn’t sending me any money because my father refused to turn over his tax returns.

My dreams were crushed but then the little voice in my head from the film by Dr. Beckwith said “You can start from nothing, and out of nothing and no way, a way will be made”. I continued to believe and feel like I had the money I needed to attend this school.

The next morning changed my life. I went to sleep with hope and faith and belief and had an amazing dream that night. I woke up in the morning to my mother’s phone call explaining that Georgetown was giving me a full ride for all four years! I cried tears of joy for at least fifteen minutes.
