Lisbon20 year old who wanted to be a rock-star since she was 4 years old.
OMG, I can’t believe I am finally writing here.
So, as my biography says I always wanted to be a “rockstar”. This is my mom’s fault as she was in her 20’s in the 80’s, you can imagine what her musical taste would be like, and she passed it onto me. My first guitar was only given to me at age 16, my mom couldn’t buy me one before, but I never gave up and I finally got it (using The Secret without knowing). My mom (I love you), told me to read The Secret in the right time in my life. I had just turned 18 and I was in my last year ever in school. I was sure I wanted to be a musician and I was sure the right opportunity would show up any moment. I not only wanted to be in a band, I wanted it to be a all female rock band…in my mind that’s very unique because there’s not many bands like that these days.
School ended and I just kept practising like I was gonna play a concert or something, I even wrote in a book how my band was, how many members it had, how much we would practise, countries we would play concerts in, everything. Finally when I was about to give up and said to my mom that I was gonna apply to college (which I did not wanted at all) I got a call from a casting I participated in a month ago, and got in a band exactly how I described. I was amazed, and I thought The Secret book thing actually works?? WOW. usually people start small, but I went all in the game and I had won it. I was amazed. This was in 2009, in the mean time we practised and in March 2011 we finally had our first video on the tv, and the rest is history. In the mean time, I have also watched the movie and read The Power. I now have new goals, and I know they will all become true.
I think, even though I am a very positive person I had my hardships bringing me down (people will doubt you, and tell you that you must wake up because you’re dreaming too much, when that happens tell them to go to sleep), but the key is too start again everyday and be gratefull that you’re giving another day to try again. You must never give up your dreams, be faithful, be grateful for the good things, thank yourself, people around you and God. And also, always be a good person, the ultimate winner is a good person, never forget.
Thank you Rhonda Byrne and The Secret team for writing this amazing book and giving hope for all of us.
