Dream Job And Letting Go, I Finally Get It!
Submitted by: Morgan J
London, EnglandI'm a 24 year old graduate student who has just received her dream job!
Thank you to Rhonda Byrne for ‘giving away’ The Secret to a dream life!
Thank you so much to everyone who posts on this site. Not many people I know follow the LOA, so I sometimes feel alone in my struggles and joys. This site makes me feel like I have a huge circle of friends who understand what I’m going through and I am so grateful to all of you!
I’m one of those, dare I say it, foolish people who pick up and drop the teachings of The Secret often. I get on a roll of positive thinking, being grateful, visualising and then something goes wrong and I get disheartened. Instead of being happy for friends who get good news (knowing I’m on the frequency of receiving), I’d be sad that it wasn’t happening to me, or that my dreams weren’t manifesting quick enough.
After a particularly bad experience with a professor (I was a graduate student at the time), I decided to “let go” and let whatever was going to happen, happen. I was no longer in a rush to match my peers’ achievements because I knew whatever was meant for me, would come in the perfect moment. I started being more grateful for what I already had like a loving mother, a great education, and perfect health whilst visualising getting the email inviting me for an interview.
I completed my studies and handed in my thesis on the Friday. I was super happy just to be done with it, knowing I wouldn’t have to deal with that professor again. I think my happiness, gratitude and relief were so powerful because I felt I was finally moving forward and was no longer stuck. So, I enjoyed my weekend, grateful to be finished.
Roll on Monday, I receive an email. I’m sure you’ve guessed, but it was from a company I had sent my application to a few months previously. They were so impressed with my application that they were inviting me for an assessment and skipping the interview phase a week later!
The assessment couldn’t have gone any more smoothly. I was super calm and knowledgeable and the assessors were friendly and warm.
I wasn’t expecting to hear back from the company for at least a few weeks, so I went about my daily business.
The very next day I received a phone call informing me I’d been successful, and I start next week!
Not only that, but the salary is so much more than I’d anticipated!
I finally understand what it means to “let go”. Don’t fight it. If something feels forced, it’s because it isn’t right for you. Don’t try to understand, just believe that what is right for you is yours.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has posted in the past, and good luck to everyone who is currently trying to manifest their dreams, you can do it!
