I am thrilled that I found The Secret because of the profound difference it has made in my life. In fact, I was so impressed after reading The Secret that I bought The Magic. In those 2 books, I learned about the law of attraction and how important it is to vocalize your gratitude for what you already have. I must really be grateful and honestly believe it, and the Universe will provide me with much more than I could imagine possible.

I also created a visualization board using the examples in the books. I really do believe that not only did it help me to focus more on what I wanted most, but the Universe understood what I wanted and provided much more. My current new home in Florida is the perfect example.

When I read The Secret and The Magic, I had been living in an apartment in Delaware for 14 years that was up a half flight of stairs. It had a tiny kitchen with a total counter space of about 45 inches and only 6 cupboards. Although I loved to bake and cook  I hated doing it there because there was no place to put the ingredients, bowls, utensils, etc. I had tried several times to move however, each time something happened that would prevent me from moving. Things like me needing emergency major surgery with an extensive recovery period. Due to political fallout at the company where I worked for 9 years, everyone in the department was terminated and the department was phased out. I also got arthritis, which made it extremely painful to go up and down the half-flight of stairs. Every time the air pressure dropped, I was in excruciating pain. Therefore, I really wanted to move to a warmer climate where there was no jet stream so the air pressure would not drop, which is what causes extreme pain.

After reading both books, I began verbalizing my gratitude every morning. I honestly believe that the result was getting this house. I am thoroughly convinced that an overwhelming urge I had one night that woke me up, caused me to make several revisions to my search criteria when I was looking for a house to buy. I contacted my realtor to ask those changes be made. The very next morning after she made those changes, the house that I am living in today, appeared in my email inbox! As my realtor drove me to see this house, she spoke with the seller’s agent and found out that a contract that a potential buyer made had been canceled that very morning! As we pulled into the driveway, I immediately noticed that 4 things from my visualization board were at this house: I wanted to be close to stores, yet far enough away that I would not hear fire and ambulance sirens. I hoped for a house with no steps and a fully fenced yard for my dog to play in. I love birds and butterflies so I hoped for a home with enough yard space so I could plant flowers, bushes, and other types of vegetation.

This house is in the suburbs, 3 blocks away from a grocery store and 2 miles from a main street with a host of stores, pharmacies, restaurants, etc. There is not even one step to get into the house. The back yard is huge and fully fenced. And, both entire front and back yards were professionally landscaped with a wide variety of flowers, palm trees, and hedges! The very first room I went to see as we entered the house was the kitchen. It has 28 cupboards, 9 drawers, extensive counter space, and a pantry! How could I ever think anything other than the Universe was instrumental in my realizing my dream?!?!
