One time my friend and I watched a local movie titled DUBAI. While watching the movie, I felt like I am watching myself in the beautiful desert, that was when I started to dream to come to Dubai.

I get curious when people say the name of the country, I search Google and just read about the unfamiliar country. I dream about it. I even replaced all my passwords with “DUBAI” in it. It became my favorite word.

I always dreamed that I get to live in a place well designed for me, where everything is possible. I love desert more than snow, that’s what I always believe in. I just dreamed so high, but I did not how to conquer it.

One day, to my surprise, I found out that one of our family close friends’ daughter had been working in Dubai. We did not grow up together, we are totally opposite. They are rich and I am poor, she has everything and I had nothing in my life. I suffered due to poverty, however, I was still a happy child. I day dream all my life.

I became close to her family because of this dream. I told her that I would like to go to Dubai and it was really a “yo-yo” situation in the beginning, but I processed all the things I needed in case the travel proceeds.

I got my passport on Dec 2010. On April 15, 2011 while we were on Skype talking about the plans to come here, she blurted out “Come here, I will book your flight”.
She was an angel in disguise and it transformed my life for real. It changed me. I was able to travel on the day before my birthday. Everything went so smoothly. The search was tough but I can say it’s worth all the wait.

My first job was really challenging, it shaped my attitude but I did not give up. I was able to land a job which was indeed rewarding. I am currently enjoying my work as a Travel Coordinator, which was also a discreet answer to my prayer and wish when I was a child that “I want to travel around the world”. I felt I hit all the birds with a single stone.

I did not know what and how it happened, but I knew exactly what I wanted in the very beginning. I dream about the results and I did not mind how the process is going to be like.

I still keep that fire and hunger up to now and I am happy with it. I am here in Dubai now and plan to stay longer and get my family in. I have also started and finished my driving lessons so far.
