I learned the biggest lesson of my life on the 31st of December, 2021 and that is, don’t limit yourself!

Back in 2018, my 5 year old laptop was not functioning properly. It had a dead battery, and I was finding it very inconvenient to use it. I started looking for a new laptop but due to a lack of money, I searched for the cheapest, most basic laptop. I’d forgotten that I can have anything I want. I didn’t like any of the cheap laptops and ended up not buying any of them. Due to that, I began losing interest in writing on my laptop and carried out my work on my smartphone. From time to time I would look for budget laptops and reject them because they lacked the features I wished for.

By 2021, I was still stuck with my old laptop! Rather, I was stuck with a low budget! I had managed to save some money but I didn’t wish to spend it. In July 2021, I saw a commercial on TV for Lenovo Yoga laptops and it was love at first sight! I looked for its features and specifications on the web. I watched the unboxing videos. I downloaded The Secret Super App and wrote, “Thank you for my Lenovo Yoga Laptop”.

Then in a few days, I went to buy a new smartphone for my mum. I just decided to check the laptop section and guess what was in the spotlight!!! The Lenovo Yoga 6! I touched it, folded it, and it felt amazing. The price was 80K and I still thought this was too much. I told the salesperson that I would think about it. He asked me to see the unboxing videos to know the features and reviews. Yoga 6 was good but it lacked the intel processor I wanted and its reviews were not that good. I let it go because I didn’t believe that I deserved such a costly laptop!

Meanwhile, working on my old laptop was frustrating! After a few more days, I came across a Yoga 7 Laptop and it had all the features that I desired! But it was worth 100K. Whoa! I would love to have it. I loved all the features, especially the ability to write with a pen on the screen!

I realized the Universe was asking me to stop limiting myself and know my worth. I happened to watch a web series where the lead girl is constantly reminded to “Know your worth”. I decided I want a Lenovo Yoga 7! I thanked the Universe for it in advance and then I let it go!

In December, I transferred all the files from my old laptop to a pen drive and formatted it. I thought that I would go get a cheap laptop as the Yoga 7 one was not coming. At the store, I did not like any of the laptops that I saw. They did not even equal the old laptop I was going to trade in. At that moment, I thought, why should I settle for anything less, even less than what I’m giving up?

And that day, in that same store, in the spotlight was the Yoga 7! I asked the salesperson where the Yoga 6 was and he said it had been discontinued! The day before, my account balance was now 100k. Everything was in front of me so now what was stopping me? My own limiting thoughts! The “Why do you need such a costly laptop” voice in my mind. I shushed it and went ahead and bought the laptop. I am writing this story on my Lenovo Yoga 7! I still can’t believe it!

I promise to never limit myself and know that I absolutely deserve the very best, that the Universe loves me and wants me to know my worth! I have tears of joy and lots of gratitude!
