Although I loved my job at my school, the politics were horrible and I was never recognized or appreciated.

I started praying for a new job. Suddenly my husband received a job offer in Dubai. I was excited, I felt like resigning as the commute would be more than 90 minutes daily from Abu Dhabi. He said we could move halfway between the two, but even then it would be a long drive for him and the area would be very rural and I loved the city. I wanted to be in Dubai. I started praying that we could move to Dubai directly.

I was unfairly made redundant a few weeks later. I was more hardworking than my colleagues but I let go, I was ecstatic, it was Divine Timing that now we could move to Dubai! I had no job and husband was worried but I wasn’t.

I thanked the universe for my present job, and all I had learned and achieved. I declared that I would work in a position where my salary was higher than present, that the institution would be filled with wonderful kind colleagues, and that my daughter could attend school for free with a schooling allowance, and that there would be an onsite nursery as I wanted to have a second child and have him close to me after my maternity leave.

I just kept it in my mind that it would happen. The little thought of ‘how’ and ‘impossible’ kept trying to weed it’s way back in but I redirected it immediately, focusing on my desire.

And yes, I got it!!  I got the best position ever, wonderful colleagues, and a much higher salary.

Keep believing, be grateful every day and look back at how God has helped you in the past, it will work out, it always does.
