Over the last year, two things dramatically changed my life. The first was when I decided to start using my new name. While it still hasn’t been done legally, I made up my mind to have everyone start calling me by it. I never liked my birth name and even as a child, felt I was misnamed. As soon as I did that, it was as though I suddenly had control of my life. I was more focused and very confident. For the first time in my life, I was not ashamed of my name!

Second, I was very tired of being in debt. I made a firm decision to not owe people any more money. I cut up all of my credit cards, and attacked my debts with an unstoppable vigor. “Debts Fear Me!” became my motto.

Things happened slowly at first. But then, the debts began to melt away. As each was paid off, it made me more determined to attack the next. In a few short months, my car was paid off, two loans, one charge account and four credit cards all gone! I made up my mind, never again will I borrow money or get another credit card.

I first watched The Secret a few years ago but could never achieve what I wanted so I quit trying. After looking back at the above situation, it dawned on me that I had used the exact concept that The Secret teaches. I now understand the power of Intention. A concept that I could never quite grasp before. Once I firmly intended to dissolve my debts, my power to do so became almost deadly.
I now realize my earlier mistakes. All my years of struggling financially and my very abusive childhood had put me in a state-of-mind to live that way. I was constantly having negative thoughts about my past and would give up on The Secret when things weren’t materializing.

Now I am constantly being aware of my thoughts. Anytime I fall into my old thought patterns, I stop myself and get back on track. I have decided to put all of my energy into getting rich and living a life of adventure. This is my Intention. As with my debts, I know that I am unstoppable!
