I am the mother of 4 amazing children, 2 who are adults and 2 who are teenagers.

My story is that I have been using The Secret all my life, and not knowing it, but everything I have truly wanted, I have received somehow, whether it is good or bad.

Thankfully, I now know why I have been getting the bad experiences, thanks to The Secret and its teachings, and I am working very hard to focus on only the positive things in life, money, love and relationships, and all is going well so far, except my relationship with my teenage daughter.

She is a beautiful girl who is working very hard to graduate this year and is putting herself under a lot of stress. She can get very angry and argumentative with me for the past few years, and seems to pick on anything to let her vengeance fly. Last night we had a particularly bad argument leaving her very emotional and tearful again.

Now I have found my boys to be easy to raise, and a pleasure to get along with, and we argue very rarely. The girls, I have had to battle with all their teenage lives. I have a great relationship with my older daughter, now she is herself a mother, but it was not always like that.

By the way, I was a difficult teenager, and gave my mother a hard time when I was growing up, so my memories also added to this assumption that girls were difficult to handle.

This morning, I was sitting at my laptop reading the new stories that had been submitted, and it came to me from nowhere, that what I had always said when talking to other mothers about our children was, that “teenage girls are difficult, argumentative and spiteful, and that boys are so much easier to have than girls”.

Woooow!!! NO wonder I have had so much trouble with my girls, I have been inviting it all along. What you talk about and think about comes about!

So from this day onwards, no more negative thinking and talking. My daughter is a wonder to be around, she is respectful, fun and helpful, and I look forward to having a great relationship with her from this day forward.
