The Secret worked when I was unemployed and had nowhere else to turn. I had just quit a bad job and was feeling a little distraught going through ‘help wanted’ ads. I decided to see if The Secret would work, so instead of getting upset I made myself feel happy and blessed. I knew I would find another job and made a list of all the things I wanted from it.

I wrote down all the details of my future job, like having friendly co-workers to chat with at lunch, the hours, and even what I would be wearing. I would smile ,thinking of all the great things about this job. It came true months later and I now have an amazing job. Every detail I wanted came true! This is the best job I’ve ever had!

I’ve noticed stories on here about break-ups and getting back with the ex lover. I broke up with an ex recently who was completely incompatible and that won’t change. For me it is not envisioning being back with him, but creating a whole new lover in my head that will be better suited for me. He will really make me happy. I’ve written down all the qualities I want in my new partner. I envision what he will look like and how he will make me feel. Little signs already keep popping up. I am a magnet and it’s being attracted to me. I came home tonight and there was a flyer for a singles party at my favorite spot in town. The other day I was in the grocery store and I ran into a guy I fancy from work. I find that you have to feel happy and blessed in order for this to work. It’s not about constantly wanting what you don’t have. It’s about knowing you will receive it and being happy and grateful in the present moment. As it says in the movie, “You won’t know how, it will be shown to you.”
