Ocean City, New JerseyI'm 17. I just learned The Secret. It's amazing what you can do with it.
Hi, I’m Zaine. 🙂
Just turned 17.
I had no problem with my life before I knew The Secret. I was generally a pretty positive person, so my life was pretty positive.
My little cousin just learned how to read, and he’s such a sweetie. He wanted to bring me a book to read. So my aunt went out and bought me a book and dropped it off later, and asked me to read it to myself later. I hate reading, but I didn’t wanna disappoint my little cousin. I also hate lying. I couldn’t tell him I read it when I didn’t.
The book was The Secret.
I looked at it and thought of it as any other book. I asked her what it was about, and she told me she didn’t know. She just picked it out randomly and the cover looked interesting so she got it.
I read it. I was shocked. WOW. It’s weird, because a month before reading that I made a wish on a little dandelion that “I’d somehow find a way to make my big wishes come true.” And here it is, my wish was granted right then and there. I figured out how to make my big wishes come true.
It was amazing, I read the whole book in one day. I couldn’t wait to try it out. Now onto the story…
The book said to start with something small, so like the book suggested, I thought of a very old friend. A special friend I had known well in kindergarten. But she moved at the end of kindergarten, so we never talked after that, not once. I didn’t even remember her, haven’t seen her, nobody’s mentioned her, until I thought about when it said an old friend. I didn’t even know where this girl moved, but I wanted to talk to her. I didn’t know how either.
Two days later, while I was on Myspace, I kept noticing the same person show up on the side of my Myspace every time I got on, on this thing that said “people you may know based on your common friends.” I ignored it, until I suddenly one day felt like adding 50 million people on my Myspace. I don’t know why, I just got a feeling. And I added the Myspace that kept showing up, with a bunch of other Myspaces. Then she immediately acepted my friend request. And I had no idea who she was.
Suddenly, I got this urge to go check it out, and the first thing I saw was her last name. Schletinze, the most rare last name ever. And that was the same exact last name as my friend in kindergarden! So I clicked on her profile to see if her first name was the same name as my friend. It was!! Spelled the same way and everything! I was amazed. I looked through her photos, and 12 years later I could still tell that was her. I noticed she did look like an older version of my friend, and she had the same hair color. It had to be her!
12 years later. And the weird thing is, none of my friends talk to her, and nobody from my school even remembers her. All the way back in kindergarten, now I’m in 11th grade, and I have the chance to talk to my used-to-be best friend. I sent her a message, happy as ever. Crazy things happen. 🙂
