From the age of 12 I suffered from social anxiety. I had a fear of people, high pressure, poor self-esteem and bad moods. This year my anxiety increased and turned into a bad exercise. All the time I was feeling bad and my body was tense. So was my thoughts and brain. I never had real friends and I never believed I would ever change. I kept thinking negatively and every minute I would be thinking about the pressure, even when I was alone in the bathroom. I was always nervous.
I looked for ways to change the situation, and when I went with my mother to the library, I found the book “The Secret”. At first I read it and did not believe it could bring me peace. When I started to believe and experience it, I felt something amazing. My body was calm and I felt an amazing feeling that I had not felt in 3 years. My great fear was that I would not be able to maintain the feeling for long, that I would return to those pressing thoughts and stressful life. So I forgot about The Secret book and tried to find other ways to change the situation. I always knew all along that my thoughts had great power. But nothing worked.
When I was in the bookstore two weeks ago, I found another book from The Secret series that illustrates real life events and stories that have happened to people. At that moment I knew that if they changed their lives, then I could too. So from that moment on I tried to convey to myself the feeling that I was already calm. I thought as if I was calm and did actions that made me feel calm.
Every day I was thankful for three good things that had happened to me that day and I wept with joy that I was calm. I tried to use all the tools I had and I would write down things I learned from the book to feel calm.
1. I used imagination.
2. I gave gratitude every day.
3. My thoughts, actions and feelings were calm and made me clear that I was already relaxed.
As of today I have been feeling peaceful for a full month and it is awesome !! I have no words to describe what happened to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
