Buxton, Derbyshire, United KingdonI am 57 years old and recently widowed after being with my husband for 30 years. I discovered "The Secret" by chance after being "lead" into a bookshop, which was totally out of character for me. I was lead to the back of the store, and there on a shelf at eye level, facing out was the book, The Secret. I read the fly leaf and decided that I had to buy the book. Once I started reading the book I came across several paragraphs that stated things that my husband said and believed in.
I only recently started to read the book and I am slowly reading through it, and because of things it says that my late husband used to say without knowing about this book. I decided to start using it and put into my life all it says.
My husbands motto in life was “Spend, spend, spend and the Lord will send, send, send.”. So I continue to live that way. Also in memory of my late husband, instead of spending Christmas alone, I decided that I would give £50 to the person who has been the most support to me during my bereavement process. This act I intend to do every year from now on, in memory of my husband. The person who is my most helpful friend will get a surprise visit on Christmas day. Since preparing my “Donation Gift”, I have unexpectedly been in receipt of £525 in to my bank. Amazing! Not only that, but I have also started to find a new happiness in life and I am starting to find new friends in places I never thought I would.
The Secret has actually saved my life, as before I found it and started reading it, I was very suicidal and looking for the best way to end my life. My grief at losing my husband was so consuming. Now as I read through The Secret, I know I will be asking for my role in life to be fulfilled. I now tell everyone about The Secret and recommend they get the book, read it carefully and follow it’s instructions. I now look forward to watching the film which I expect to be delivered very shortly after a friend told me where I could purchase it.
I am so grateful to Rhonda Byrne for writing this amazing book and for my ‘Guiding Angel’ for leading me to it when he did.
I will be telling you more stories as my life continues on it’s wonderful journey.
