Yesterday afternoon my cat went missing. He is not an indoor cat but he never wanders far away from our house. So when he didn’t come back for his dinner, we all knew something was wrong. My mother kept saying that someone must have stolen him and sold him. But I believed that he would return home safely sooner or later and I refused to think of any other outcomes. I visualized him eating from his bowl. I created a mental picture and the sound of him eating. I felt his soft fur while I was petting him. I imagined myself holding him and really felt it, the way his fur would feel in my arm, his warm body and his scent. I tried to make it as clear as possible, using my senses.

On my way home from work today I kept affirming that he had come back home already. I created this silly song where I said my gratitude for his return. And when I arrived home, my parents told me that he was back! He looked scared and very hungry but he was okay.
