I received The Secret a couple of years ago from my sister. I have attempted to read it many times and change my thoughts but found no results so would give up and put the book away.

This time is different though. I don’t know how I missed it but I realised the change needs to come from my FEELINGS. So I began to use memories that made me feel good to improve how I was feeling right now.

With exams looming and no study done I was surrounded by negativity. Work gave us statistics, scare tactics and constantly told us the exams were the hardest we would ever do.

I decided to forget all this. I put all my focus into visualising myself studying and the feeling of completing my exams. Nothing else mattered. The exams were easy. I would study in the last week and all that I have studied will come up and I will exceed the pass rate.

With a mental block about studying (I was good at it but hated it so so much!) I decided that I liked studying. I liked the way it made me feel. I would enjoy learning new things. I blocked out how much there was to study just focusing on what I had in front of me, never looking to see how many pages were left (just like the car driving through the night in the book). I told myself that I was revising instead of studying- that I already knew all of the information I was just running over it to refresh my memory.

I visualised coming out of each exam with a smile on my face that all my topics had come up and how I was able to answer them all. I visualised the thought ‘I don’t know what work was talking about, they were so easy’

I visualised the feeling of checking my results (using how it felt when I had passed other exams), telling my parents and friends. I visualised receiving my bonus from work and what I would spend it on. I visualised what I would wear out the night I got my results and the relief of it all being over.

I got up the Monday one week before my exam and something clicked- I WANTED to study. I studied all I could, as if I had all the time in the world. I confidently went into my exams knowing I would be able to answer everything on the paper because I had studied all that would come up. I walked out of each exam so relieved that The Secret was working and that I had done so well. And when checking my results it happened exactly how I had visualised and I got 80 overall! I am so delighted and relieved!!
