I have many stories much bigger than this one, but this is one of the more amusing stories about how the universe can hear our musings and comically delivers our orders as spoken.

I ordered a king sized comforter set to fit our new bed. It came with three throw pillows, a comforter, two king-size pillow shams and a bedskirt. The set arrived and I was a bit annoyed that the sides didn’t come down quite low enough, because they make the comforters not quite as wide as they ought to be. I thought to myself, “It would be nice if they’d make these things wider and not be cheap about adding a bit more fabric!” I also thought, “I want another comforter set because it’s not enough to have just one, especially with the baby, she’ll spit up on it and I’ll need to wash it. I’ll need to get another at some point so maybe I should order one soon.”. I also thought, in passing “It would be nice to have a few more of these throw pillows that came with the set!”

OK, so a few days later I look outside my door and there’s a big box. I thought it was something else I ordered but lo and behold there is a box and in the box is the same exact comforter set, only this one is a California king size. California king is a king size bed which is a few inches wider but a few inches shorter than a standard king size bed. I never ordered a California king size, and I never told anybody what I had thought, either! I’m looking at this package wondering what on earth am I supposed to do with an identical comforter set?! Why did I get this?! And as I’m racking my brain, suddenly it comes to me! When I was up in the bedroom that day, I was musing about how I wished the sides were longer so the blanket was wider and hung lower and I was also musing about how I would like a second set, and I was thinking how I would like more of the throw pillows! Here it all is. Not only that, but I was also thinking that they always just give you two pillowcase shams and it would be nice if they gave more! I checked both bank accounts and I was never charged. It it does go to show that sometimes we get exactly what we ask for, so I would’ve been wise to ask for a nicer bed set entirely! Which is not to sound ungrateful at all because I was happy to have at least one comforter set in the first place.

I have many stories much bigger than this about much more important things but I just found this one cute. I will try to write more stories because I have hundreds and I just never get around to it being busy with the little one.
