Almost three years ago, my husband of 16 years died suddenly… only six weeks after his diagnosis of cancer. I was forty then, with a sixteen year old daughter. We were an extremely close family of three.

Although devastated, I was grateful to have such wonderful friends and family around to help me through this difficult time (friends who told me about The Secret). My marriage was strong and we were indeed soul mates, but as all married people will tell you, it takes strong commitment and faith to sustain a loving bond.

My husband and I had a special affinity for Wayne Dyer (Spiritual Speaker and Writer), and he knew I liked reading uplifting books. One Christmas, we unknowingly bought each other the same book by Wayne Dyer called Inspiration. On that same Christmas we also bought each other a gift certificate for the same department store, for the same amount. On Christmas morning we were both shocked at the surprises we bought for each other – they were exactly the same gifts.

On the front of the book Inspiration, there is a picture of a butterfly who had landed on the author’s hand and decided to stay there for literally hours. The author describes is his book how this little creature who landed on his hand might be a sign from his friend, Jack, who had recently passed on to heaven. His cause of death was cancer. My husband and I both read the chapter about Wayne’s experience with the butterfly and found it very comforting.

About a month after my husband’s death, it was time for me to go back to work. My girlfriend called me at work to tell me about this dream that she had. She said she didn’t know what significance this might have, but my late husband came to her and told her to tell me to watch out for these. He unclasped his hands and two little yellow butterflies flew out. I dropped the phone. I knew this was his sign to me that he was ok. Since then, there have been many other butterfly visits. Both my daughter and I have had them land on our bodies – on my hand, and on her back. I see them everywhere.

I realize now after being introduced to The Secret that I was attracting all of these wonderful little creatures into my life with my own mind. I believe they were signs from my husband, but also the power of attraction at work.

So many wonderful things have happened since I found out about The Secret: my daughter is doing well in college, I have a new house for my new start, and I have just started a new hobby job as a Zumba instructor, after teaching group exercise for fifteen years. I used a vision journal to write down all of my desires; I cut pictures from magazines and believed I would have all that I desire. My wishes have come true… The love of my life did move on to the next phase in life, but I will see him again and thank him for the many signs he sent my way. For the time I have left here on earth I intend to use The Secret to attract the best life possible for my daughter and me through the law of attraction and the power of love.
