My story began when I was in my teenage years.
I had a very regular life with no spark in it when my cousin told me about The Secret. I was in my home country India, in grade 11 and preparing for high school exams.
In India getting into a good uni is a pretty big task as every year around 13 million students compete for 10000 seats of the good universities. I used to study all day and was always tired. To make things worse, I had never scored great in exams.
After watching The Secret things changed for me. I realized my self importance and decided that I can aim better and do better than running in a rat race. I decided to aim for one of the best universities in the world.
When I decided to follow my dream I was all alone. My friends used to laugh at me. My teachers said is I am wasting my time and not even my parents believed that I could achieve it. They asked me to keep it as plan b but for me there was no such thing. So I studied hard for preparing for the exams I was to take to get into Australian universities without anyone knowing it.
When results came it was the first time in my high school that I got above 90%. I got admissions to the premier universities of Australia but my family couldn’t afford it so I had to join a college in India which didn’t have a very good reputation.
I was broken but not shattered. I kept on visualizing that I was studying in one of the top universities of the world.
After three months I got a call from an education consultancy that said I can still apply for Australian universities.
Somehow, my problems vanished in thin air! Finances got sorted out and now I am in UNSW which is the premiere university for engineering in Australia and has a very good reputation around the globe.
I know it sounds hard to believe that all my problems just vanished, but it was that moment when one realizes the true magnificence of universe.
This is the best thing I have achieved with The Secret till now. Whats next?? Bigger aim, bigger challenges, bigger success!! And my favorite thing, more social misconceptions to be broken.
I hope my story will inspire every champion who has that potential but is restricted but the conventions of society.
After all it is your life, not the society’s!
