I listen to The Secret every few months to remind myself to apply it to my life. This is how I used it to help my boyfriend to get his perfect job.

My boyfriend had been desperately looking for a new job for a couple of years. A great one came up over the summer, but a coworker of his got the job and he was really disappointed after not getting it. His coworker loved the new company she was at and when another job came up right before the holidays, she put his name forward and told him to apply.

The night before his interview, he was complaining about his current job and talking about all the reasons he didn’t want to be there. I told him to stop and focus on what he wanted in the new job. I asked him why he would be a good fit for it and why it would be a good fit for him. I asked him to imagine telling his family about his new job at dinner next week. So he did.

Of course, he got the job! He is so happy at his new job and they compliment him all the time. He is working fewer hours and his commute is much faster. He has now figured out that he gets an entire day of his life back each week!

I am now working on getting licensing to start a new career and you can bet I’m using The Secret to do it!
