I had been getting down on myself lately. I am a stay-at-home mom in my 30s. I do not have a successful career and I am not in amazing shape. I have The Secret Super App and could not sleep one night. I started reading The Secret Stories and I felt hopeful. I wrote down my gratitude every day in the app. I started to go around my house and say thank you for and to everything.

I started watching a Netflix show called ‘Emily in Paris’. I had a friend go to Paris recently and she said the food was incredible there and that the people were beautiful. It got me thinking about how we treat our food here in America and how we are always rushing. Me and my family do eat around the TV. I watched some YouTube videos on how people in France eat and their way of living and I started to apply some of this to my life.

I feel this spark in me again. I will not be going to Paris anytime soon but I can cook with love and feel elegant right now. I can make croissants. I tried doing the ‘3 meals a day with just a smaller portion’ plan. I have lost weight while eating pasta and I have red wine at night. I play French jazz while I am cooking which makes it feel romantic. My mother-in-law came into the kitchen while I was cooking and heard my music playing and she made a nice comment on the music. This new sense of joy that I have found is what I was looking for. It also reminds me of what the law of attraction had been talking about when it spoke of aligning with your joy.
