I keep on visiting The Secret web page and read a lot of stories written by many here. They are really inspiring. I generally have many take-aways from here, however a few things that I started using were just because I read them being done by others in their story. So first of all I would like to thank you all for sharing your stuff here as you never know which point benefits whom in what way.

My story goes like this: After getting inspired by a few stories here, I was thinking that it’s been close to ten years of my total work experience and still I have not reached the level where I should be in my career. And I have also served a decent over four years in my current organisation, hence I was actually looking forward to a very good appraisal along with a promotion this year. However, I had also developed interest in some other department in my organisation and made my current management aware of the same. My entire peer group was of the opinion that just because my management knows that I want to move on they won’t promote me and won’t do a good appraisal for me.

Then I used THE SECRET… I knew that this appraisal was for the previous year’s efforts and I have done exceptionally well and do deserve a good appraisal. Finally, I dug out last year’s compensation revision letter from the HR and took a new print out. I striked through the old Grade and Designation and wrote there the new Grade and Designation that I wanted to see in this year’s appraisal letter, along with the change in date and year to the current one. I kept on thinking and thanking God for having already given me what I wanted, and I just didn’t bother about what my peers had to say, as that used to bring in doubts in my faith on The Secret. So I always used to counter my peers and say, “See, I am sure that I am getting the promotion with the next grade for sure.” I just kept on repeating the positive of what I desired.

Finally, just two days after the date I had on my dummy letter, came the letter from HR, wherein I got the same grade and the designation that I had wanted. Though the actual amount of salary didn’t match with what I wrote, I know I was never so confident about that amount, so I can’t blame The Secret. The things I was having no doubt about did come true, and exactly the way I wanted.
