I am 12 years old and I would like to share a story with you today. I hope this story is going to make you crack a smile!

I learned about The Secret a couple of months ago and I read the book once. I was astounded by the fact that there was a force and a ‘law’ out there that was listening to every thought that crosses our minds. I definitely understood the concept of The Secret. I understand how we create our own lives and manifest things, thoughts, situations, or people into our lives every day.

I started practicing by waking up every day and feeling grateful and saying thank you as I got out of bed. Then I went further and decided to put it to the real test. I asked the Universe for 3 things: A white rose, a white dove, and a white butterfly. I chose the color white because it symbolizes purity. I kept overthinking it and then would think that it might never happen. Then I shooed away those negative vibes and kept practicing positive ones instead.

Today I woke up to a grey sky. I smiled because I love rainy days as well as sunny ones. I looked out my window and guess what I saw?! A white rose tree in my neighbor’s back yard! I was so shocked. It works!

The problem I have observed in myself is that I try to take the paintbrush out of the Universe’s hands, thinking that I can paint the picture without its help, but I was wrong.

In the process, we are told to take these simple sounding steps: Ask. Believe. Receive. The hardest step for me is to believe and that is also about ‘letting it go’. To ask the Universe is fairly simple for me but to believe and have faith is harder. I think this is true for most people out there too. So my message to everyone out there is to believe in the Universe or God, or whatever you believe in, and to just let it be.

I always come here to read people’s stories when I feel negative or gloomy and it really brightens up my mood, my thoughts, and my whole persona. I hope it does the same for you.
