Attracting Daily Things, Learning To Trust
When I first saw The Secret, I knew I was skeptical. At this juncture it seems that I am most negative. I haven’t even seen the entire movie and I had all sorts of doubts and questions. I didn’t think I could make everything happen.
Shortly after I watched The Secret, I embarked on my life long goal of moving to New York City form a tiny suburbian town in the Philippines. And I said, “I will practice law in New York!” I can’t remember now the specific things I did, but I know it was my attitude that made a difference. I finished my masters, I took the bar exam, and became a full-fledged NY lawyer. I also found a job on Wall Street.
Somehow I forgot. I had lost touch with the mighty power of my own positivity that I also slowly forgot The Secret. Then I saw The Power in the bookstore one day and recognized The Secret logo. I decided to read it thinking, this stuff used to work.
There’s a chef on the Food Network that I really admire and I do love her. I posted about her on my facebook, I kept tweeting to her about how I made her recipe and it rocked, and I wrote on my blog about her. She was coming out with a book and it so happened that there was a contest to win a pre-release copy of her book. I just joined the contest and canceled my pre-order thinking that I would win. I did! This just goes to show how loving something will attract things to me. Now that I have rediscovered The Secret, I intend to apply it to my daily life!
