I was living in New York City and my partner was offered his dream job back in the U.K. I loved my life in America and was hesitant to give it up and start all over again. I didn’t want to give up my other half but I also worked so hard to get to where I was in NYC. I asked the Universe for a sign as to what to do.

That night a British Red Cross plastic bag was hanging off the cabinet door in my apartment and to this day I have no idea how it got there. I asked the Universe for another sign, as I couldn’t believe the first one!

Since I am an actress, my boyfriend was showing me all the great acting schools in the UK, and one was named LAMDA. A week later we took a trip to Boston and drove past a huge Poster stuck to the side of a building that read ‘Lamda Coming Soon’, that was the second sign!

I once again asked the Universe for a third sign and promised that this was the final one, if you gimme one more, I will book the flight that day! By this time my other half was back in the UK and I was clearing out some stuff in the apartment. I was giving away some books to my co workers and handed over a book that wasn’t mine or his. It was from a friend of ours that visited 9 months earlier and left it behind by accident. My co worker opened the book and out fell an Oyster Card, the train ticket for the London Underground!

I said ‘Okay Universe, I got your final sign!’ That night I booked my flight to the UK and it was honestly the best decision I’ve ever made. I have a wonderful group of friends here, my partner is much happier, we have a bigger apartment for less money, I have a successful acting career and my side job is filled with wonderful, supportive co workers!

To summarise, when you don’t know what to do, ask the Universe and you shall be given a nudge in the right direction.
