In my religion, there is a phrase in which the almighty creator says, “Ask and I shall give.” It is somehow the same as the one used in The Secret book, “Your wish is my command.”

Out of this phrase I have made some prayers and wishes which had been realized and some which had not. Or maybe just not yet. But of course, before, I dared not ask for something that I thought would be impossible to get. Even if I asked, I would be skeptical about having it. Maybe that is why I did not get it.

Anyway, a friend talked to me about the law of attraction three years ago. It was a friend that I only knew at that time because, coincidently, we worked together for a United Nations mission in Malaysia for around twelve days as an interpreter. I would like to thank this friend for presenting me with this information about the law of attraction. I was rather skeptical about it at the beginning, but I tried it. I did whatever he advised me to do in order to get what I wanted.

I was just testing it at that time, and still, deep down in my heart, I was saying, “This is ridiculous. How am I going to get something that is impossible?

Every morning I would wake up and write down ten things that I was grateful for that I have in mind. I also wrote down ten wishes that I wanted. I wished to get RM 10000 (which is around 2500 euros ) per month for my salary, among several other things that I no longer remember. My focus was the money because, at that time, I had some financial problems to deal with.

After some time, I got tired of writing all those things down and thought that I was only wasting a lot of paper, which meant wasting a lot of trees, as we need trees to make paper. So I stopped doing it and just said everything in my heart.

At the end of our twelve day mission, we were paid our cheques around a week or so after the last day of work.

Guess what? For twelve days of work, I earned more than RM 12000! (3000 euros). I was so happy and thankful at that time.

I did not practice it much after that, but I kept on talking and spreading positive thinking to some troubled friends because I believed in it so much.

Three years later, I am still amazed at the results of the prayers and the law of attraction. Now, suddenly, once again, the law of attraction attracted me to the book display on a shelf in a bookshop. I will tell you all what happened next soon.
