A friend told me about The Secret, but I finally endded up purchasing the book months later on an impulse when it beckoned me from a bookstore display window. I started reading it, and just couldn’t put it down! It felt like it was written for me:) It answered so many questions I’ve asked every source of learning ever since I was a child. I’ve been in a constant state of excitement ever since I got acquainted with The Secret, and have used it innumerable times. I’m mentioning a couple of events that stand out.

While I was reading the book, I had a LASIK operation scheduled. So I decided to use The Secret to ask for a great procedure with a smooth recovery. The procedure went off well. But the real surprise was when I went for my post-op check-up. My doctor was amazed! You see, most people get back normal vision from being near-sighted. But according to my doctor, I’d developed the kind of vision 1 in a 100 people possess!!! Now I can even read tiny letters which are not normally visible to the naked eye. Also, keep in mind that my friend went in for the same procedure, with the same doctor, two weeks before I did, and she has normal vision in one eye, and a bit of negative power remaining in the other!

The next incident is about a day when I woke up and requested the universe to send checks in the mail. I also asked for $500 before the day was over. I have never been very comfortable with money. I was born into an extremely well-to-do family, and decided to build my own future and earn my own wealth. Earlier, I had disregarded money since it was free flowing, and ever since I’d branched out I didn’t know how to treat it as I had no experience handling it. In short, I hadn’t built a relationship with money, and didn’t respect it. So, I decided to ask for a small amount to begin with. Generally I don’t even pick up or glance through my mail, but that day I dived for it before my partner could. Holding the envelopes in my hands, I felt anxious for a second, but then I felt excitement flow through me as I started opening the mail. I guess you all must be knowing what to expect by now, but I can still recollect the sheer thrill that ran through me when I saw that there was a mail from homestead rebate and I’d received a check of $1500!!! Also, another envelope contained information about some forgotten stocks that had suddenly risen in value and made me richer by $2000!!!! I asked for $500, and ended the day with $3500 more in my pocket:):)

There are several more examples (instant parking spots, driving tickets waived). These are exciting and fun ways to discover the power of The Secret, but the most important thing that I’ve learnt from it is to give thanks without fail and with heart-felt gratitude every time I receive.
