About three months ago, I had lost all hope that I would ever be happy again. I was completely in love with a guy who I had dated for a year (long-distance). He had then cheated on me, then realized he still loved me and came back. After that he once again started having doubts about our relationship and returned to the U.S.A. where he is currently working.

I decided to enroll in a course there, convinced my parents it was worthwhile, got a scholarship and went to see him. However, he was still not convinced and refused to be in a relationship. I quickly completed my course and returned home heart-broken.

About a month after I returned my mother told me about The Secret. she sent me an E-book but I refused to read it as it strained my eyes. I asked my best friend for her book and she kept forgetting until one day she randomly handed the book to me. That was the day my life changed. As I set my eyes upon the book I believed that change was going to come. I felt hope for the first time. As I devoured the pages I began following the various exercises given in the book.

I made a “vision board” with a pictorial representation of all I wanted. I made sure to put a picture of the guy I loved and me on it. I started believing that he was mine, and that we were together. I have a friend who was going through the exact same situation as me, and I told her one day, “I know I am going to be with him, he loves me. I know and believe it. And I am so grateful for it.” I started feeling happy with this knowledge. Note: I had not communicated with him for over two months.

Then out of nowhere I got a call from him. This was five days after I put the book into practice. I was stunned. I looked up at the sky and thanked the Universe. I believed. He kept texting me on and off, and kept the talk casual. Then last weekend he asked me if I loved him. I said yes. He proposed to me and asked me to be with him till he dies. I was overjoyed. He just asked me to speak about us to my parents, as he has already told his parents about me. He’s coming down soon and I think wants to propose officially.

I know we are going to be together. In fact, I feel like we are together right now. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am to the author of this book. I thank you every day, every day when something good happens I look skywards and thank the Universe.

I believe in The Secret. It has changed my life. 🙂
