I’m a landscape architect and my long held number 1 bucket list item has always been to visit Amsterdam and see the tulip gardens in the spring. Breathtakingly gorgeous! I always knew that one day I would go.
Several weeks ago I was trying to decide what to surprise my husband with for Christmas, and I realized we had not completed any bucket list trips in almost 2 years! And so I decided, Amsterdam in April! Let’s go!! As I researched airfare I was disappointed to see that we did not have enough miles to book free award tickets and the cost of basic economy tickets was disheartening. I searched repeatedly for weeks, trying different airlines, 1 way tickets, direct flights and flights with layovers. No good deals.
So I sent my request to the Universe. “Send me a great deal on airfare to Amsterdam!!’ A day or two later, I stumbled upon it. Two first class tickets to Amsterdam, in the middle of April, on our preferred airline, for less than half the price of typical first class tickets to Europe. We’d be flying first class for the same price I had been expecting to pay for basic economy! I was filled with gratitude and I immediately bought the tickets even though I was a bit apprehensive about how we would pay for them.
Several weeks later I was organizing paperwork at home and discovered an employee stock ownership certificate from the company I previously worked for. I had totally forgotten about it! I contacted the company and $2700 is now on it’s way to me! That’s one ticket paid for! Woohoo!
Amazed at how these events were unfolding, I filled my heart with gratitude and sent another request to the Universe: “Send me another $2500 and that means both our tickets will be free!” Literally the next day $300 cash appeared in my mailbox, compliments of my aunt’s husband who was cleaning out old bank accounts. And the money is continuing to trickle in. $200 cash as a Christmas gift from a relative. $475 discovered in a not used savings account. $200 won in prize money for a fantasy football game. Here and there, the money is flying in from a variety of unexpected sources. I am 100% confident that those 2 first class tickets will be completely paid for by the time we go to Amsterdam, if not sooner! Thank you!
