It’s funny how The Secret came into my life. When I was 21, my classmate came into class one day and started telling my friends about a DVD that he watched, called “The Secret”. He seemed so enthusiastic and positive about it. He even gave me a copy of the DVD.

I went home, watched about 15 minutes and thought to myself, “this is fascinating.. hmm..”. But I didn’t complete the movie. I simply kept it in my drawer and forgot about it.

4 years later, in August 2012, my girlfriend had just broken up with me. It wasn’t that she didn’t love me any more. It was just circumstantial. I was heartbroken. I hadn’t been with her for too long but I just had a really strong feeling that we were meant to be. And I have never felt for sure about anyone or anything in my life.

To uplift my emotions, I googled for positive quotes online and started reading whatever I could. It was then that I came across The Secret, for the second time. The title seemed so familiar and then I remembered that my friend had actually given me his DVD! I went home, found the DVD and watched it.

And then I got to know about The Secret Book. I bought it the very next day! I started reading it right away and even wrote summaries on post-its and stuck them between the pages. The next day, I went to the book store and saw The Power and The Magic. I bought them both 🙂

My life has been so much better after reading the books and practising gratitude. I left my job and was looking for another job. So I made a vision board and wrote the company and department’s name there. That was early November 2012.

In mid December, I got a call from an ex-colleague who asked if I wanted to work with her. And guess what, she was from the same company, in the same department as what I had written in my vision board! I was amazed and realised that the LoA really works! I got a job that I did not even apply for.

My belief in the LoA is complete. It is unwavering. I know that there are better days ahead of me and whatever that I can conceive in my mind, it WILL be manifested.

Visualize. Think of what or who you want – think of already having them. Don’t fuss over how it is going to happen. Just have full faith and carry on with your life with the feeling of already having them. It will definitely work out.
