I watched The Secret years ago and consciously practised using it. I sort of forgot about it over the last couple of years, but after a stressful time in my life I decided to be more intentional with it.

Anyway earlier this year I use The Secret to apply for a grant to fund an art project. I was told it would be tricky to get but I visualised daily it coming to fruition and only spoke of it happening. I felt what it would be like to receive it and I ended up receiving the maximum amount available. Shortly after I got a phone call from a group to say they had some funds available and would I be interested in using it to work on another project. Receiving this reminded me how powerful we are when we consciously manifest.

So a couple of weeks ago I decided to sign up for a course that I had previously put off due to limited finances. I made the decision that I wanted to do it and I would get the funds. My husband was anxious but I could feel I was on the right path and everything I needed would be taken care of. I had to pay a deposit of $2,000 which I didn’t have. I contacted the school to say I’d like to attend and would have the deposit soon. The next day my husband messaged to say that between both of our tax returns we would be $2,000 back! Just 2 weeks beforehand I had been told that I wouldn’t get anything back! The course total was $7,000. I had manifested another $3,000 with extra shifts at work becoming available and other art jobs coming up from unexpected places. I still have more to go but I believe everything I need will come in.

Then 2 weeks ago, one of my speakers blew up at a dance night that I was a DJ at. I was telling a friend after the event that I had to buy some new ones. This friend, who never comes to the dance nights, said ‘You’re not going to buy them, we’ll fund-raise for some new ones’. I am not a fund-raiser and initially said a big ‘No way”. Then two other friends joined in and said they would help. I had been telling myself for a few weeks that I needed to get new speakers. So thinking about Jack Canfield’s story in ‘The Secret’ book where he says ‘When you have an inspired thought, you have to trust it and act on it’, I knew I had to get myself out of the way as I could feel the strong desire from my mates to do this. Anyway, they came up with this idea where people could buy numbers from 1-100 for $20 and $10 would go towards the speakers and $10 to a $1000 prize, and it would be all done on Facebook. I said OK and within 48 hours we had the money! I still can’t believe it happened.

I had no idea how I was going to get the speakers and never, ever thought about fund-raising. It still doesn’t feel real but it really showed me that we often have no idea of the ‘how’, but if there is inspiration, belief and desire, the magic will happen.

It’s a daily practice but once you start and begin to consciously attract your dreams, it’s lots of fun. Thank you Rhonda and all the wonderful teachers for making ‘The Secret’ so accessible. Have fun!
