Last April (2014), I had made the decision to transfer to USC as a sophomore with only 30 units. I thought about it, and knew that that was what I really wanted. I wanted to experience at least 3 full years at USC.

However, there were obstacles. First, my high school GPA and ACT score were horrible. I didn’t think I would be eligible in any way because I had a feeling that even if I got a 4.0 GPA and applied with 30 units from community college, my ACT score and GPA were going to really ruin my chances. I really wanted it though. I truly wanted it more than anything.

So, I thought to myself, what can I possibly do besides working hard to make this dream of mine come true? I sat down and wondered. Then I remembered The Secret, which was something I had read years ago. I searched the entire house for it, and even ordered the other books of Rhonda Byrne.

The moment I began reading, I began to really understand what believing meant. I began to really apply the LOA and believe in it more than anything. I believed in it so much that I would sometimes cry out of happiness just imagining myself receiving the acceptance letter.

From April 2014 to May 2015, I thought about my dream every single day. That’s all I would think about. On the last day of 2014, I decided to make a vision board for 2015. On the board I pinned pictures of USC and the logos. I even printed an acceptance letter and wrote my name on it with a sharpie, and the semester I wanted to be accepted for. Sometimes I would look at that board and just visualize myself in excitement and tears of happiness because of getting that acceptance letter. I believed in it so strongly. I always gave love, even when I would get a little negative.

Well, May 8, 2015 was the day for me to register and add my fall classes for community college. I still believed that USC would accept me, but just wanted to add those courses just in case. I was sitting on the couch and there was still 15 minutes until I was able to add my classes. During those 15 minutes, just to waste time, I signed onto my USC portal to check the status of my application. I wasn’t expecting anything new, and just wanted to waste time.

Well, I signed on and when to check the status, under it was a link that said, “check application decision.”

I clicked it and there it was, the acceptance letter I had waited about a year to see!!!

At that moment I was jumping up and down from happiness. I began almost crying from happiness and screaming! I was so happy. My heart was beating so fast from the happiness I was experiencing. I can’t even put it into words! It was honestly the greatest feeling ever.

What I want to say is that the law of attraction is real. You just really have to give love, gratitude, and believe in your dream strongly. Never give up and always know that if you can imagine and dream it, you can live it.
