After watching “The Secret” I knew that I wanted to put it to the test! I thought hard about what I wanted to “order” from the universe and came up with a great idea. I am transferring to The University of Iowa next year, and for out-of-state students the total cost of tuition and room and board is around $30,000. That is very expensive and I decided to make it my goal to use The Secret to bring that cost down to $10,000. I didn’t know how I was going to do it but I decided to believe with my whole heart that it was possible and that it was going to happen.

Months passed and I devoted time each day to telling myself that going to Iowa was only going to cost me $10,000 a year. As the months progressed nothing seemed to happen, but I did not lose faith, rather my faith only grew stronger as I continued to watch “The Secret” and research it online for more tips for making this a reality.

This past weekend I attended an event for Transfer students. One of the admissions counselors gave a presentation on all the basics about transferring, and after the presentation I went with my mother to ask him a question.
Another man had gotten to him first and we overheard his question. It was about cost. The man had a son who was also coming from out of state and wanted to know if the admission counselor had any advice for lowering the cost.
My mother overheard him saying something about saving $8,000, and that got us interested.
We asked him our question but then asked what he had been telling the other man. He invited us into his office and explained.

It was possible for me to attend the university next year (as a sophomore) and take minimal classes and become a resident of Iowa. By taking only 2 classes I would be granted in-state tuition, and since I would only be taking 2 classes a semester my total for the next year would be roughly… $10,000.

Then for my junior and senior year I could become a full-time student and pay the in-state tuition… not to mention I’d be living off-campus which tends to be cheaper, leaving my total cost for each of those years at… $10,000!

It really is true what they say about not knowing how what you ask for is going to come about, just trusting that it will! My faith in The Secret is so strong and I’m so happy I decided to use it on this!
