A surprise for Nana

san diego CAI am a caring and compassionate person. I have a beatiful wife and 2 beautiful children. Everything I do I do with passion. I am constantly in search of ways to improve myself as a person. I love life.
This past Xmas 2006 was extra special thanks to The Secret. The reason it was so special is because it was the last time my wife and kids got to see there Nana, my mom. My Mom and I were very close and I had told her I was giving her a great gift for Christmas, it was The Secret, she had know idea. She said, “Oh is the secret. You are coming back for Christmas.” I said no because at that time we were not, I knew she really wanted us to though.
We did not have any real plans for Xmas this year so my 8 year old daughter said wouldn’t it be great to fly back to Nana’s and surprise her for Christmas. (We are in San Diego and she in Michigan.) She said “Wouldn’t it be cool if we got there and got into her house and she wasn’t home and when she got home we were waiting for her in her kitchen and yelled “Surprise!!!!” Well, my wife and I thought it was kind of crazy and quite short notice and expensive being it was only 7 days till Christmas. We realized though that we had The Secret so my wife and I said “Why not?”
For Christmas gifts this year we had decided to send my Mom and sister The Secret DVD and audio cd’s with new computers and Ipods so they had all the tools to use The Secret. Well, I somehow knew that we needed to go there and share it in person, so when my daughter said let’s go there it all started coming together.
We flew on the Redeye and arrived by limo Christmas eve morning and lo and behold she was not there and the door was unlocked. She came home from getting groceries that morning to a surprise of a lifetime, her only 2 grandkids and my wife and I… needless to say groceries were flying.
We spent 7 wonderful days there and had shared The Secret with my Mom, sister and her husband. It was the best Christmas ever. Eleven days later I got a frantic call from my sister saying Mom was in the hospital and the doctors didn’t think she was going to make it. I was in total shock, I just spoke to her two days earlier and she was on cloud nine, happier than ever. Well, I got on a plane and flew back for her final hours. Mom passed away Jan. 10th. If it had not been for The Secret, we never would have gone back for Christmas and spent those final days of my Mom’s life together as a family.
As a side note, the silver lining here is that my sister now has The Secret and is applying it and sharing it with others every day. The Secret allowed my sister and I a way to get through a very sad time in our life. My sister is a diabetic at 40 and has had one heart attack. She now has the tools to save herself from the same path that caused our Mom to pass.
I am so grateful for all the people that put The Secret together you have changed me and my family’s life forever. THANK YOU!
