First off I would like to say thank you to the staff of The Secret.

My girlfriend had asked for a plush penguin for Christmas, it was being advertised on TV and the minute she went to see one and felt it, she loved it. So being the procrasinator that I am, I waited till a week or so before Christmas, only to find out they are completely sold out in the area. I went online and looked through all the surrounding cities near me, guess what, sold out! I even emailed the company selling these penguins and they had informed me that they did not expect so many to sell and we’re basically sold out everywhere in Canada.

So I did what anyone feeling desperate would do, I used the Canadian buy/sell website called kijiji. I recently bought tires from someone off the site, only to find out they were crappy and I got ripped off $100. I didn’t care though. I realised the person who sold them to me probably needed the money more then me, and karma is a funny thing. Because of this, I had negative thoughts about the site, and after searching through countless pages online and not finding the penguin, I kind of lost hope. I think my girlfriend really wanted to have it though, and I know she was using The Secret to make sure it would come to her.

Anyways, I got an email yesterday from a woman in Scottsdale, Arizona (pretty much as far away from me as possible in North America) who said her daughter made her take a trip to the store so she could hug one of these penguins. Upon returning home this lady decided to google the commercial this penguin was on. Somehow, some way, my ad came up, she had never even heard of kijiji but some how found my ad.

I’m happy to say the penguin is being shipped today, it will arrive a little after Christmas, but that’s fine. And even with shipping it only cost me $13 more than it would have in store!

I’m so grateful that The Secret really does work. A stranger from a completely different area of the world was able to come through and help me, and didn’t ask for anything in return, I will be passing this good deed forward.
