I work as an interpreter. I also teach my students how to interpret. I hope that I can enhance my English and Russian interpreting skills further so that I can perform well and satisfy my clients and students.
Being an interpreter has been my dream since I was very little. However, I didn’t choose to be an interpreter because I thought it was too difficult for me to make a living as an interpreter. I chose to be a teacher of English and Russian. Although I liked teaching and interacting with my students, I always felt sad and regretted not having chosen to be an interpreter.
One day, a friend of mine gave me a book named “The Secret”, and I enjoyed reading it. I was moved by what was said in the book. After I finished reading it, I began to ignore what I didn’t want, but focus on what I really wanted. I began to imagine myself interpreting business conferences and teaching interpreting skills at a school.
Three weeks later, I happened to know that a new language school was about to move near my school. One day, I went to the school to take a trial lesson after work. The lesson was really good and I enjoyed learning interpreting skills. Right after the lesson, the teacher who taught us came up to me and told me if I could work for his school and his agency for interpreters. And some days later, I started to work as a teacher for novice interpreters and an interpreter.
When I was asked to work for his school, I thought it was too good to be true, but I stopped thinking negatively and told myself that I got a lot of potential to be an interpreter.
I hope that everyone achieves his or her goals in life by applying the law of attraction.
