I was in a rut for 6 years job-wise. I was miserable, and couldn’t stand coming to work every day. In my yoga class, my teacher mentioned some things from The Secret so I decided to read up on the book. I read the book – esp pg 116 (where a girl took steps to ensure she would be working in the U.S.), meditated on it, then went on my way.

A week later, after having dinner with some friends, I decided to pursue a new job and applied for a position with a company in town. A week later, a box arrived at my yoga studio with the name of the company I had applied for. Then at work, I looked at my desk and saw how messy it was, and started to clean it up. I threw out files, took home old pictures (with the intention of bringing in new pictures), gave away stuff I had no use for, and left my desk the same way it was when I first got there – bare with minimal stuff. I slowly started to let go of everything that bothered me about my job and started thinking short term – ‘someday this will end’ I kept saying to myself.

Then, 4 weeks after I applied for my new job, I had an interview with my new company. Then I cut my hair – I grew my hair long for the past few years – but on this day I decided I wanted a change and cut my hair short. The following day I had an interview with that company, and at the end of the week I got an offer. It was then I realized what had occurred – my intention to leave my old job had manifested in my actions – I cleaned out my desk, let go of all the issues at work, cut my hair, and did well in the interview.

The Secret truly did work for me – now I’m at my new job and very very happy that I did it. Thank you thank you thank you for The Secret!!!
